Porcelain Keepsake Box Inlaid with Swarovski Crystals

This keepsake box just glows with memories! Done up as only a native NuYawka keepsake box could be, this box was handmade in Broad Channel, Brooklyn.

The artist decorates this porcelain keepsake box with the traditional millefiore technique, substituting Fimo for glass. Fimo is a type of clay similar to Play-Doh used by artists; when fired it becomes hard like porcelain, enabling artists to produce spectacular colors in minute detail. As if that were not enough, the artist then embellishes each box with dozens of Swarovski crystals, and signs and dates each piece along the bottom.

These boxes are also sometimes seasonally available at the main store at Barneys in midtown Manhattan - for significantly more than our price.

No two boxes are ever even remotely similar; all are true works of art that are one of a kind.

Box measures 3.5" wide by 3" long by 1.75" tall, has two 1.5" by 2.25" storage sections within and weighs 11 ounces.

Made in Brooklyn.
