Dutch East India VOC Coin Cuff Links
Own a piece of corporate history.
The Dutch East India Company (VOC in Dutch initials) was the world's first multinational corporation and the first company to issue stock. Their coins, or duits are also known as New York's First Cent as the Dutch originally settled New Amsterdam, the capital of New Netherlands, and these coins were used by the first New Yorkers, even after the Dutch ceded control of New Amsterdam.
Minted in the Netherlands from 1726-1804, these famous coins are mounted on sterling silver swivel mounted cuff link backings with one cuff link showing the "head" side, one the "tail" side, so both are displayed. The face shows the company logo; the obverse side displays the coat of arms of Utrecht.
Comes with a certificate of authenticity that explains the history of the piece and a gift box.
