Cast Bronze Classic Diner Bank
Save up for your next old school meal out!
The classic American diner, memorialized in solid cast bronze, is re-imagined as a coin bank. A fun reminder of a certain time, nearly gone across America, when folks of all types might find themselves sitting next to each other, enjoying pancakes, waffles, and the best tuna melts on earth, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For me, as a long time resident of Chelsea, NYC, if you say "diner" I think "Empire", which amazingly, after many decades and many different owners and personas, is still there at 22nd and 10th.
Weighing in at nearly 3 lbs, measuring 6" long, 2.25" wide and 2.5" tall, this will make a handsome addition to any desktop, mantel or nightstand. Unscrews with a flat head screwdriver to retrieve your coins. Shown with a quarter for sizing.
A larger version of this diner is available in cast aluminum and bronze in the Sculpture category, but it is not a functional bank.
