Fair Trade Wood Hamsa Hand Puzzle Box
Good luck and a good box!
The hamsa may very well be the first truly mulitcultural symbol, used throughout the Mediterranean basin by Jews, Muslims and Christians as a sign of good luck, to ward off bad luck, and to bless a home.
Hand carved in Northeastern India by Muslim woodcarvers of sustainably managed and harvested rosewood, this elegant box is the perfect place to hide your keepsakes, jewelry, or anything else you want.
Imported by a Fair Trade Federation member organization, funds raised from the purchase of this box are returned to the community of woodcarvers and reinvested in community development projects such as clean water, women's empowerment, education and children's health care.
Box measures 6.5" long by 5" wide by 2" tall and weighs approximately 12 ounces.
