Rectangular Telugu "Freedom" Necklace
Handwritten on parchment in Telegu, the artist's mother's native language from Eastern India, and safely protected for a lifetime of wear by resin, this necklace spells out the word "Freedom".
The Telegu language is one of the six classical language groups of ancient India and uses many ancient Sanskrit characters even in this modern age. Part of a limited edition series dedicated to the artist's mother and her life, "Freedom" was one of many important lessons imparted to the artist by her mother and is a perfect touchstone for many people.
Pendant is sterling silver, measures approximately 1" long by 3/8" wide and is suspended on an 18" oxidized sterling silver snake chain.
