Cape Dorset Beluga Whale and Calf
Hand carved by master artists of the First Nation Inuit community of Cape Dorset, Nunavut, in the Northwest Passages of the arctic region of Canada, this sculpture is made of serpentinite or soapstone. The stand is made of Caribou antler, as are the pins which attach the whale and calf together to the base.
Each piece is completely one of a kind sculpture and comes with a certificate of authenticity including artist information. All First Nation work at Arcadia is purchased either directly or from artist co-operatives to insure that the artists profit directly.
Measures 8" long by 5" tall by 4.5" wide and weighs 6 lb.
