Gibeon Meteorite Ring with Sterling Silver Liner
Out of this world.
An extraordinary opportunity to wear a piece of the sky. A carefully selected piece of Gibeon meteorite is used as the core of this incredible ring, which is silvery with notes of earthtone and grains that catch both the light and the eye. Set within sterling silver to frame this unique material beautifully, the meteorite is hand fabricated with a proprietary forging technique to enhance it's corrosion resistance.
Note that meteorites contain metals including iron, so they will age over time beautifully, but the sterling silver frame and liner protects your skin completely. With a slightly curved profile and smooth finish, this 7mm wide band is in stock in a size 9 but can be ordered in any size and customized any way you like.
This ring is designed and created by Chris Ploof, a native Massachusetts jewelry maker whose work is world famous, with a focus on mokume gane, Damascus steel, and combinations of metals with ancient and modern techniques to create uniquely special and timeless pieces. He and his wife have been vacationing in Provincetown for many years and we are proud to represent Chris exclusively on the Outer Cape.
