Steel and Sterling Silver Teardrop Pendant Necklace

An open and curved teardrop of darkened steel is set within a frame of delicately decorated sterling silver, creating a fascinating contrast of metals, shapes, and textures. 

The maker is a trained metalsmith who has studied blacksmithing. This classic metalworking technique combining steel with sterling silver is rarely encountered in jewelry making. While the sterling silver frame and chain will remain the same, the steel will oxidize and subtly change colors with time, wear, exposure to water and salt, allowing you to enjoy the magic of metallurgy over time. 

Pendant measures 2" in length by 1" wide, suspended from an 18" subtly textured sterling silver chain.
