Upcycled Victorian Lamp Cuffs
19th Century lighting debris as wearable art.
Highly decorated Victorian era "fonts" which supported the kerosene and glass shield are rescued from the dump, carefully cleaned, cut, forged and given new life as a fun and functional cuff.
Cuffs measure either 3/8" (floral patterns) or 1/2" (leaf patterns) in width. Sizing is mostly for a small/medium sized wrist, but these cuffs are somewhat flexible - squeeze a bit or pull to shape as needed. They should fit even the biggest wrist with shaping, and should most smaller wrists with some squeezing.
Several have a small hole where it would have been attached to the lamp. The hole is on the end of the arm of the cuff and has no impact on the look when worn - it's just part of the history.
Fonts were made from a mixture of metals including bronze, brass, tin, copper, zinc and other metals and may cause skin reaction for those with specific metal sensitivities. Coating the interior with clear nail polish or products like Jewelry Shield, in most cases, will prevent a reaction.
