Upcycled Wood Skateboard Ball Bearing Necklaces

Old skateboards are turned into super cool pendants instead of ending up in a trash heap somewhere. Layers of solid Canadian Maple are exposed and colors revealed, then inset into stainless steel ball bearings from the wheels to create functional works of wearable art. The pendant is sealed to protect it against wear and tear, although the natural aging process will just give the wood even more character over time.

Pendants measure 7/8" in diameter by 5/16" thick and are suspended on a 18" stainless steel ball chain or sterling silver ball chain, your choice. Note all pictures show stainless steel option, but sterling silver option is the same size ball; just add it into your shopping cart along with the pendant.
