14K Palladium White Gold and Sterling Silver Mokume Gane Ring

$2,400.00

The artistry of the Age of the Samurai, brought into the 21st Century.

James Binnion, one of America's few true master Mokume Gane craftsmen, has literally rewritten the book on Mokume Gane, (his book is one of three sources for the Wiki article!) the 17th Century metalworking technique which folds different precious metals together into a tight, woodgrain pattern running entirely through the entire ring, in the same way that Samurai swords were hand forged in Japan for centuries by master metalworkers.

Splitting his time between metal work and educating other jewelry designers on how to work with this incredibly difficult technique, he has taught many of the best Mokume artists in America how to create this incredible wearable art form. We are extremely lucky to be James' exclusive retail representative on Cape Cod and are delighted to offer you his COMPLETE range of designs. Please see his website, http://www.mokume-gane.com/ for the complete selection.

Ordering through Arcadia is actually better than ordering directly from James. It's the same price, with free shipping anywhere in the US but working with Arcadia allows me to supervise your purchase from start to finish. I can answer all your questions and guide you through the process step by step to make sure you get exactly the ring you want, in exactly the size you need, exactly when you want it. You can also see samples of his work at our shop, and on my finger (my wedding band is Jame's work - sterling and platinum).

This mokume ring is made in a tight, woodgrain pattern consisting of 14K palladium white gold and sterling silver. The ring has a smooth, rounded outer surface and is made with a "comfort fit" for extremely easy every day wear and removal when wanted.

The ring is 5MM in width and is available, in stock, in a size 7 (US). ANY size can be ordered (in between sizes are no extra charge). Please call or email with any questions.

Hand made by James Binnion of Bellingham, WA.
